Prof. (Dr) Navneet Sharma is a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at IIMT University, Meerut U.P, INDIA. He is presently the Dean of School of Life Science & Technology at IIMT University. Earlier he served as Lecturer, Reader, Professor & Head and Director of D.J College of Dental Sciences & Research, Modinagar from 1999 to 2018. He completed his master degree from G.B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, U.K and Doctorate degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, M.P. He has been trained in the institute of repute, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi. He is having more than 24 years of experience in teaching and academic administration.

During his academic career, he has been awarded Gold medal at graduation level & in second international conference of health sciences, Calcutta in December 2001, and prestigious Akshya Vatt Samman at Prayagraj from Sh. Girdhar Malviya honorable Justice (retd) Allahabad High Court in 2011. His areas of specialization are molecular biology & genetic engineering and nutrition biochemistry. He is having several publications in various national and international journals and 4 patents published in his credit in. He is the reviewer member of Journal of All Bio Solutions, Spain. Beside this, he had also been a resource person in UGC, HRDC FDPs.

He has organized two international conferences, two FDPs and several workshops and webinars. He had been the part of various committees and currently he is the chairperson of library committee, unfair mean committee, university grievance cell and CBCS committee at IIMT University, Meerut.

Beside this, he is actively involved in the teaching of unprivileged children and creating awareness for hygiene and nutrition values of food to the community.
